Skateboard Policy — Information to Students

EFFECTIVE Wednesday, August 22

Skateboards are prohibited on the Mount Miguel High School campus at all times, including after school and weekends. This means students may not bring their skateboards to or ride their skateboards upon school grounds at any time.

Students who possess a skateboard upon the grounds of Mount Miguel High School will be asked to accompany a school official to the assistant principal’s office. This will allow the assistant principal to explain the skateboard rules to the student.

Consequences:

  • 1st offense: An assistant principal will explain the skateboard rules to the student; take possession of the skateboard; and return the skateboard to the student at the end of the school day.
  • 2nd offense: Skateboard will be confiscated and held in the assistant principal’s office until the student’s parent or guardian as listed on the student’s census records picks up the skateboard.
  • 3rd offense: Skateboard will be confiscated and held in the assistant principal’s office until the end of the semester.

Non-compliance: Any student who refuses to cooperate with the school official enforcing the skateboard policy will be suspended for violation of Education Code 48900 k (defiance).
